A LOOK INTO THE ROLE OF A MEDICAL SALES REPRESENTATIVE

2023-08-10

Medical sales representatives, market and sell medical products in the healthcare industry.

What you'll be doing on a day-to-day basis is selling your company’s products, like prescription drugs, medicine, and equipment to those who work in the healthcare, such as hospitals, doctors, GPs, and pharmacists.

Some of your typical responsibilities will be contacting customers, arranging appointments, managing budgets, identifying customer needs, making presentations, planning work, and monitoring new developments. Like any job in sales, the most basic duties you'll have are attracting customers and promoting your product to them.

You could work alongside other medical sales representatives in teams, or, if you rather not work in large groups of people, work alone. This gives you the ability to choose how independent you’d like to be, allowing you to progress in your career at your own pace.
