American College Testing (ACT) is a standardised test that students need to take for admission to undergraduate schools in the US and Canada. Each section is scored on a scale of 1 to 36 points, with the average of all four exams making the composite score. Students taking the optional writing test get a writing score on the same scale, but the score is not included in the composite score. The test results are available online within eight weeks.
