Exam Pattern

Casper is a component within Acuity Insights, which includes two more components to evaluate the ethics and social skills of prospective medical students. These include-

• Casper- A situational judgment test
• Snapshot- A short, one-way video interview
• Duet- A value-alignment assessment

Casper scores are based on the following constructs-

• Problem-solving

The test is divided into two sections which are further segregated into more parts. Here are the details-

• Typed- response section has three word-based scenarios and six video-based scenarios
• Video- response section has two word-based scenarios and four video-based scenarios

Questions often revolve around medical, ethical, and behavioral scenarios. You only need to take the test once and can appear for it once per application cycle. If you reapply to medical school later, you will need to retake the test.

The Casper 2023 test fee is $85, and it includes 8 programme distributions.

Casper is beginning to release the exam dates for the 2023-2024 cycle though they are not still out for all schools. Candidates must check the individual websites of medical schools before finalizing a date.
