Meteorologists are people who study the weather and use scientific methods to gather data and make accurate predictions reading the climate. Your role will be to make various weather forecasts through computer and mathematical equipment.

Accurate weather predictions are very important in numerous other sectors in the working world, such as farmers, the media, fishing industries, aviation, and shipping companies. Not to mention, doing research on the ongoing issues derived from climate change means that you’ll have a direct and significant impact on many others.

Some of your responsibilities in more detail as a meteorologist are collecting data, analysing information, presenting briefings, monitoring climate change and liaising with colleagues. This may not be a very well-known career path to follow, but it is certainly rewarding as you’ll be able to see the results of your hard work every day.
