SCHOLARSHIPS PROVIDED BY THE DUTCH/EUROPEAN UNION GOVERNMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL LEARNERS

 

NL SCHOLARSHIPS

Non-EEA international students who wish to pursue a Bachelor's or Master's Degree at universities in the Netherlands are eligible for the Holland Scholarship. This scholarship provides an amount of € 5,000 that will be distributed in the initial year of the studies.

Orange Knowledge Programme

The Orange Knowledge Programme seeks to increase the aptitude, expertise, and excellence of individuals and organisations in the areas of higher and vocational education and other areas associated with the main themes in the recipient countries. An OKP grant is intended to be additional to the salary that you should keep receiving over the scholarship period. The grant is a contribution to your living costs and expenses such as tuition fees, visa, travel, insurance, and so on.

 

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE AT DUTCH EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS FOR INTERNATIONAL LEARNERS

 The Leiden University Excellence Scholarship Programme (LExS) is open to exceptional non-EU/EEA students seeking an MA, MSc, or LL.M. at Leiden University. The scholarship can be €10,000, €15,000, or the total tuition minus the home fee of the tuition fee.

The University of Maastricht High Potential Scholarships are available to talented students from outside the EEA to pursue any UM master's programme or graduate programme for professionals that is offered by the University, excluding the School of Business and Economics. The scholarship provides coverage for tuition fees, living expenses per month, insurance and visa costs.

 The Radboud University Scholarship Programme opens the door of opportunity to a limited number of non-EEA students who are interested in pursuing a full English-taught Master's degree at Radboud University Nijmegen. This scholarship does not provide a sum of money to be deposited into your bank account, but instead, offers a partial fee waiver - to the same amount as that of an EEA student. In addition, this scholarship covers other expenses such as visa fees, residence permit fees, health insurance, and liability insurance.

At Utrecht University, The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship is a chance for outstanding prospective students to take part in a Bachelor's or Master's degree programme in some chosen areas. This scholarship can be granted as tuition fees, or tuition fees plus 11,000 euros of living costs.

Scholarships offered by the Erik Bleumink Fund at the University of Groningen are mainly for 1 or 2-year Master's degrees. This grant includes tuition fees, international travel, subsistence, books, and health insurance.

The Delft University of Technology has numerous excellent scholarship programmes aimed at international students. For instance, the Justus & Louise van Effen scholarship is designed to financially assist excellent MSc students from abroad who are hoping to study at TU Delft. This scholarship provides a complete package - covering tuition fees and providing a monthly allowance for living expenses.

The University of Twente is offering scholarships, known as UTS, to highly talented students from both the EU/EEA and non-EU/EEA countries who wish to pursue a master's degree at the university. The scholarship sum is between € 6,000 - € 25,000 per annum.

The VU Fellowship Programme (VUFP) presents an extraordinary chance to international students from outside the EU/EEA to gain a degree in certain Master's programmes at VU University. The fellowship provides €15.000 to those who pay the tuition fee for non-EEA students.
