Candidates looking to apply for the NID exam must go through the eligibility criteria mentioned below:

• Those who have cleared or are appearing for the Class 12 exam in any stream (Humanities, Commerce, and Science) from a recognised board can apply for the undergraduate level of the NID exam.
• To apply for the M.Des course, candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised college/university. They should be less than 30 years of age to apply for admission in the M.Des course.

Exam Pattern

Here are the details of the NID 2024 exam pattern for candidates looking to prepare for the exam-

• The test will be conducted in English through offline mode in two stages, Prelims and Mains
• The exam duration will be of three hours and it will be of 100 marks
• It will have a mix of objective and subjective type questions
• Prelims exam will include topics such as innovation in design, picture analysis, optical illusion, theme development, creative thinking and writing, presentation techniques, usage of colours in compositions, and good design vs bad design
• Mains exam covers creative thinking and the importance of body language, and also has a mock interview

Practice exam

Candidates appearing for the NID exam can prepare for the Prelims and Mains by solving the practice exams and the test papers of the previous years.

Registration Procedure

Registration for UG and PG programmes will start from the first week of October 2023. 

Candidates can access the application form through the official website and fill out the relevant details. 

They must also upload the scanned signature, photograph, and other documents in the specific format. 

The last date to fill registration form will tentatively be around the first week of December 2023.
