OVERVIEW

  • It takes about five and a half years to complete an undergraduate degree in India. One of these years will be spent doing an internship and the rest will be done in the classroom.
  • Once you finish your undergraduate degree, you can choose to take a postgraduate program which will take about 3 years.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • In most cases, you will need to have achieved at least 50% in your A-Levels. If you are looking to apply to AIIMS, the minimum score is 60%.
  • You need to have studied chemistry and biology. You have an even bigger chance of being accepted if your third A-Level is in physics.
  • You must be between the ages of 17 and 25.
  • In some cases, if you come from a non-English speaking country, you will need to prove your English proficiency by taking an English proficiency test. This can either be the IELTS or TOEFL, or any other test that is listed by the university you are applying to. The results required will also differ depending on the university.

ENTRANCE EXAM

  • You will be required to sit NEET.
  • You might also need to sit a different entrance exam. These could differ depending on the university you are applying to.
  • You can take NEET online. This exam will test your knowledge of scientific topics like biology, physics, and chemistry. There will be 180 questions to answer, and you will have three hours to complete them.
