WHO IS IT FOR?

The CoA lists the following eligibility criteria for candidates applying for NATA 2024-

  • Candidates must have completed class 12 from a recognized exam board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
  • Candidates currently appearing for the class 12 exam can also apply
  • A minimum score of 50% aggregate is required
  • No minimum age is listed for candidates
  • Lateral entries are not allowed for applications

As stated above, students appearing for NATA must have cleared class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as their core subjects.

WHAT IS IT FOR?

NATA is an undergraduate-level exam that provides admissions to 5-year Bachelor of Architecture programmes to the qualifying candidates. They can get into top-ranked government or private architecture colleges in the country according to their scores.

EXAM PATTERN

NATA 2024 will be conducted online in English medium in different slots throughout the country. The reason for having multiple slots is that a large number of candidates apply for the exam every year. So multiple sets of paper are released according to the following exam pattern-

  • The three-hour long exam comprises three sections- Mathematics, Drawing, and General Aptitude. There are 125 questions with a total weightage of 200 marks.
  • The questions include MCQs, Numerical questions, and PCQs, with 80% MCQs and calculative sums and 20% preferential choice questions.
  • Two marks are added for each correct answer and there is no negative marking for the wrong ones.
  • Candidates need to score 70 out of 200 marks to qualify.
  • They can prepare basic concepts from NCERT and practice questions from previous years.

REGISTRATION PROCESS & APPLICATION FEES

The application form for NATA 2024 is available on the official website nata.in. Candidates need to fill out the form and provide the essential personal, academic, and contact details. Next, they have to upload the required documents and pay the exam fee online via net banking/credit card/debit card. The fee details are as follows-

Eligibility for NATA 2024 for international/ NRI students is the same as for Indian nationals. Except for the fees, everything else is the same.
